Welcome to Fifth Grade!!!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am so excited to be your child’s fifth grade teacher for
the 2018-2019, school year! This letter is
to help inform you of some of the classroom procedures.
Birthday’s- We love to celebrate birthdays. Please, notify me a few days in advance, if
you will be being in a special treat for your child’s special day. We currently have 20 students in class. Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June.
Food Allergies- We do have a few allergies this
year: chocolate, milk, coconut, cinnamon, diary products, eggs and processed
corn. Please, be mindful when sending in
snacks. Try to avoid snacks with these ingredients.
Scholastic Book Orders- Our classroom will be
participating in Scholastic Books. Once
a month, families will have the option to purchase books through Scholastic.
Book-It-Our classroom will also participate in the Book-It
reading program beginning in October.
More information will come home on this.
This basic idea, students read a book, fill out my book report and get a
free personal pizza from Pizza Hut!
Recess Parents-We are still in need of recess
parents. If you are interested, please
contact me. Recess is from 12:45-1:15
daily. Parent volunteers must be VIRTUS
trained. There is a training session that
will be held at Desales, on September 6th, from 6-9:30 PM, in the
cafeteria. Your assistance with recess
is greatly appreciated.
